HCWGMW Endowment
The HCWGMW Endowment supports new or existing projects and programs focused on youth development and/or eliminating the cycle of poverty for youth in Camden, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties. Grant applications will be accepted from Sept. 11, 2026, until NOON on Oct. 13, 2026.
Nonprofits working in collaboration with other charitable organizations are encouraged to apply. Letters of support from the collaborating organization will be required when submitting.
In 2025, the fund awarded a total of $170,000 to programs serving Pasquotank and Perquimans counties through this application-based process.
NOTE: The addition of Camden and Gates counties is new for 2026. In prior years, the HCWGMW Endowment only accepted applications for this program from organizations serving Pasquotank and Perquimans counties.
How to Apply
The HCWGMW Endowment, a donor advised fund administered by the North Carolina Community Foundation, is part of the Northern Albemarle Community Foundation’s family of funds. Organizations must apply for grants using NCCF’s Grant Application Portal.
- If this is your first time applying, follow the instructions in Training Module I to create a profile. If your organization already has an account, use your information to log in.
- Once logged in, select the green apply link at the top of the page.
- The screen will refresh. Enter the access code hcwgmw in the field labeled “Enter Access Code” toward the top of the screen. Once you have typed in the code, click the Enter Code button.
- The screen will refresh. Scroll down and you will see the application process for 2026 HCWGMW Fund.
- You may preview the application questions by clicking the preview button.
- To start an application, click the blue apply button.
- The application form will be accessible beginning Sept. 11.
- You may save the application for later completion. However, you will need to click submit once you are ready to submit, and prior to the noon deadline on Oct. 13.
- You may download, save and/or print a copy of your application. You will also receive a confirmation email once you have submitted your application.

Since 2016, the HCWGMW Endowment has provided more than $1.5 million in grant funding to nonprofits in the four counties served by the Northern Albemarle Community Foundation.
