Criteria

Persons eligible to receive scholarships shall possess the following qualifications: a graduating senior in good standing at Topsail High School with a cumulative weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher, accepted into a North Carolina accredited school (must provide letter of acceptance), with documented financial need as verified by a FAFSA Student Aid Report. Additionally, students must complete the scholarship application, write an essay, submit a seventh semester transcript, and participate in the interview process for final selection. In order to maintain eligibility and receive the scholarship for eight semesters, the student must remain in good standing with the institution of higher learning, maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average, and forward a transcript to the Pender County Board of Education no later than June 15 each.
