Swain County Public Schools Foundation Scholarship Endowment

Criteria

Graduates of a Swain County public high school pursuing a higher educational degree, with preference being given in a tiered system as follows: First, to students attending a four-year college or university pursuing a degree in an education-related field. Second, to students attending a two-year college, pursuing a degree in an education-related field. Third, to students attending a four-year college or university pursuing a degree in any field. Scholarship recipients are eligible to renew for up to 3 additional years upon maintaining a 2.5 GPA or above. PLEASE NOTE: Criteria considered by the Scholarship Committee include a personal statement, academic performance, community service, recommendations, and financial need. Interviews will be conducted before scholarships are awarded.
