Annagrace Adkins
Annagrace Adkins is a recipient of the Catharine Campbell and Daniel White Memorial Scholarship. She is attending the University of North Carolina – Pembroke.
Despite recently receiving a diagnosis with a rare disease, Adkins continues to pursue higher education with courage and resilience. With a love for debate and a passion for helping others, she hopes to become a lawyer. As one of the only 1% of all attorneys who are Native American, Adkins wants to fight for the voiceless and overlooked.
Adkins does not only want to give back to her community by serving as an attorney. She says she also hopes to educate and empower others, helping to reduce poverty, improve mental health and substance use support and improve health outcomes.
“I also want to prove to other Native American women that no matter what they are told or what they think, anything they set their mind to they can achieve it.”
