The latest scholarship recipient featured in our Scholar Spotlight is Brittney Casstevens from Jonesville.

Brittney is a recipient of the Hubert Lewis Phillips and Pearl Shermer Phillips Scholarship. She graduated from Starmount High School and attends Liberty University. She loves helping others and has served as a volunteer firefighter since she was in high school.

Brittney plans to devote her life to a service career by becoming a critical-care nurse. She turned down offers to play college soccer at several schools because the institutions did not offer nursing programs.

Brittney is a first-generation college student who is paying for college herself, so she is extremely grateful to receive this scholarship.
