Chiquasia Morris

Chiquasia Morris is a New Bern High School graduate and University of North Carolina at Greensboro student.

She hopes to become a nurse and aspires to achieve her life-long passion for helping others. She chose UNCG to pursue her passion and because it felt like home away from home.

Her motivation to pursue higher education stems from becoming a mother at fourteen. She came to understand time management and patience by raising her daughter while maintaining a 3.9 grade point average, continuing involvement in extracurriculars, working a part-time job and graduating with honors.

She aims to create stability for her daughter and be a role model she will always have. She is pursuing this and more, thanks in part to the New Bern Breakfast Rotary Todd Denson Memorial Scholarship.
