Meet Cynthia Horne from Charlotte, our latest profile in Scholars Spotlight series. She is a recipient of the William Petty, Jr. Scholarship. Going to college has been a lifelong dream for Cynthia, who graduated from high school many years ago! She is excited to be attending Shaw University to study public administration with a minor in accounting.

Cynthia wants to make a positive impact by working for either a government or nonprofit organization after she graduates. She illustrates for all of us that it’s never too late to follow a dream, and the NCCF is glad to support her and other non-traditional scholars.
