Elise Hines

Hines, a recipient of the Elizabeth Braswell Sheffield Scholarship, intends to become an elementary school teacher. Her long-term goals are to return home to Edgecombe County to inspire youth and become a pillar in her community.

Hines credits her family, community, schoolteachers, and specifically Mrs. Lewis, her fourth-grade teacher, for inspiring her to become an educator.

The scholarship will help Hines now, and perhaps impact her future students.
