Joshua Snider
The next student in our Scholar Spotlight is Joshua Snider from Lexington. Joshua is a recipient of the Richard Ellis Scholarship and graduated from Wheatmore High School. He was actively involved in his school’s 4-H club and won a gold medal at a state competition for his homemade cow replica and presentation on how to milk a cow. Joshua is excited to attend the University of Tennessee for its outstanding veterinary program and its mission to have an environmentally friendly campus. Joshua has always had a passion for animals, and received his pet cow Annabelle (pictured with him) as a Christmas present when he was seven years old. Taking care of Annabelle taught Joshua responsibility and inspired him to start working on a farm when he was 13. His strong work ethic and his motto, “Where every animal is treated like a pet,” are sure to help him fulfill his dream of becoming a veterinarian. The NCCF is proud to support this dream and wishes all the best for Joshua (and Annabelle!).
