Grants will be awarded from the Alleghany Opportunity Fund.&nbsp;Awarded proposals have historically averaged $1,000 although the board will review requests up to $5,000. Applications are available beginning March 15. <a href=\"\/communities\/northwestern\/alleghany-county\/applying-for-grants\">Visit&nbsp;this page for information about applying<\/a>.
