Granville County Community Foundation awards nearly $23,000 in grants
The Granville County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $22,740 in grants to 13 organizations supporting the local community.
The board of advisors granted:
- $4,500 to Area Congregations in Ministry for Breakfast on the Go
- $600 to Autism Society of North Carolina for autism resource specialists in Granville County
- $1,950 to C&C Innovations of Granville, Inc. for Yes We Can summer program
- $3,000 to Central Regional Hospital for student recruitment project – year two
- $640 to Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas for Granville County Childhood Cancer Safety Net
- $3,500 to Diaper Bank of NC for Granville County hygiene access initiative
- $500 to The Joel Fund for quarterly veteran breakfasts
- $750 to Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc. for support for Granville County residents in need of civil legal services
- $1,000 to Made4Me, Inc. for Making Abilities Possible
- $2,500 to National Mary Potter Club, Inc. for rehabilitation of Mary Potter school shop building
- $500 to North Carolina for music discovery for Granville County preschoolers
- $2,300 to Oxford UMC Summer Literacy for general operating support
- $1,000 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Granville County vision screening program
“Strengthening our communities begins with supporting local nonprofits,” said Charlie Gunn, advisory board president of the Granville County Community Foundation. “Our commitment to permanent philanthropy and impactful grants has a lasting impact.”
Funds for 2025 grants came from the Martha Frances Pruitt Endowment Fund, the Annette Clark Endowment, and the Dr. and Mrs. C. Bryan Finch Endowment Fund. Each year, GCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.

Granville County Community Foundation Advisory Board Members
Advisory board members are volunteers who live and work in Granville County, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities.
