Pamlico County Community Foundation awards more than $2,700 in grants
The Pamlico County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $2,720 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.
The board of advisors granted:
- $720 to Coastal Women’s Shelter, Inc. for New Beginnings empowerment program
- $1,000 to First Tee Coastal Carolinas for Building Game Changers
- $1,000 to Voices Together for VOICSS in Education – Pamlico County Schools
“These grants are possible because of the ongoing support we have from the community,” said Heather Brewer, advisory board president of the Pamlico County Community Foundation. “They will help make Pamlico County a better place to live and work.”
Funds for 2024 grants came from PCCF’s community grantmaking fund. Each year, PCCF’s local volunteer advisory board uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
