The Robeson County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $17,420 in grants to eight organizations supporting the local community. 

The board of advisors granted: 

• $2,100 to Arrested Potential, Inc. for computer lab and after-school tutorial 
• $2,100 to Diaper Bank of NC for Robeson County hygiene access and family stability initiative 
• $2,500 to Lumberton Christian Care Center for general operating support 
• $1,530 to Robeson County Arts Council for Make and Take art project 
• $2,100 to Robeson County Partnership for Children, Inc. for Exploration Station scholarship program 
• $2,100 to Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, Inc. for improving access to pediatric healthcare for Robeson County families
• $2,500 to St. Pauls Lions Foundation for Loflin-Walker Christmas Fund 
• $2,490 to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke for Book from the Nook

“We are proud to support local nonprofits and community organizations with our grants,” said Dennis Hempstead, advisory board president of the Robeson County Community Foundation. “Permanent philanthropy plays a vital role in strengthening our communities.” 

Funds for 2025 grants came from RCCF’s community grantmaking fund and the Frank M. & Betty Fukuda Memorial Fund. Each year, RCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
