Nan Ogburn Cullman Education Endowment

The Nan Ogburn Cullman Education Endowment for Johnston County Schools is a fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

The endowment was established through the estate of the late Nan Cullman, a Johnston County native who led an extraordinary life as a professional singer and civic leader in Westchester County, NY, and was a worldwide traveler and explorer.

How to Apply

The Nan Ogburn Cullman Education Endowment supports public education in Johnston County in the areas of art, travel and leadership. For the 2024 cycle, the applications is open only to Smithfield-Selma High School full-time teachers and staff. Applications will be accepted from Aug. 13, 2024, through NOON on Sept. 13, 2024. Students are not eligible to apply.

Applicants may apply for up to $10,000. Grants will be awarded no sooner than mid-November 2024 and grant funds must be expended by Nov. 30, 2025.

Applicants must apply using NCCF’s online grants system with the code cullman.
