Community grants available from the Yadkin County Community Foundation

The board of advisors of the Yadkin County Community Foundation is accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community.

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving the local community in Yadkin County and will be awarded from the community grantmaking fund. Awarded proposals have historically averaged $1,500 although the board will review requests up to $5,000. Total grantmaking will not exceed $21,000.

Applications are available beginning Friday, March 4. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org for information about applying. The deadline for applications is noon on Tuesday, April 5.

Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel, or for individuals. Funds are awarded by the board of advisors of the Yadkin County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).

“Our community is better because of our nonprofit organizations,” said Tom Fagerli, board president. “We are thrilled to continue our tradition of serving these institutions in Yadkin County by offering these grants.”

The Yadkin County Community Foundation is a growing family of philanthropic funds, source of grants for local causes, and partner for donors.
