Rockingham County Community Foundation awards nearly $11,000 in grants
The Rockingham County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $10,960 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.
The board of advisors granted:
- $1,000 to Ancora Compassionate Care for Ancora support services community outreach
- $2,000 to Mount Jubilee Ministries, Inc. for vocational training for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- $1,000 to Reidsville Outreach Center for operational support for food bank
- $1,300 to Rockingham County Arts Council for Piedmont Instrument Classes for Kids (PICK) scholarships
- $1,000 to Rockingham County Education Foundation for Future Ready: RCC campus tours for seniors
- $1,660 to Sharon Community Outreach Corporation for youth recreation program
- $1,000 to The Dancing Goat DME for meeting the incontinence needs of seniors and the disabled of Rockingham County
- $1,000 to The Salvation Army of Rockingham County, NC for food pantry and soup kitchen
- $1,000 to UNC Rockingham Healthcare, Inc. doing business as Rockingham Student Health Centers for Program Support for Rockingham County Student Health Centers
“We believe in the work that these local organizations do,” said Jonathan Jobe, advisory board president of the Rockingham County Community Foundation. “And we’re pleased to demonstrate that through this financial support.”
Funds for 2024 grants came from RCCF’s community grantmaking fund and the Apple Foundation Endowment for Rockingham County. Each year, RCCF’s local volunteer advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.

Rockingham County Community Foundation Advisory Board Members
