Women Givers of Northeast NC

The Women Givers of Northeast North Carolina awarded $10,000 in grants to organizations supporting the local community:

• $4,200 Albemarle Hopeline for Support for Survivors: comprehensive services for victims of intimate partner violence in our community
• $1,000 to the Beloved Haven for general operating support
• $2,500 to Cale Community Foundation for the Odyssey Ropes Course
• $1,000 to Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina for improving health outcomes for children with critical illnesses in Northeast North Carolina
• $1,000 to Special Olympics North Carolina for Special Olympics – Camden, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties
• $300 to the Women Givers of Northeast NC Endowment to grow community grantmaking funds to support local women and children

2021

The Women Givers awarded $2,140 in grants through their competitive grantmaking cycle.

2020

The Women Givers of Northeast NC announced $3,600 in local grant awards through their competitive grantmaking cycle:

• $800 to Albemarle Hopeline for general operating support
• $500 to Arts of the Albemarle for summer camp scholarships
• $800 to Elizabeth City First United Methodist Church, Inc. for La Casa ESL program and childcare
• $1,000 to Kids First, Inc. for accredited child abuse comprehensive services
• $500 to the Perquimans County Schools Education Foundation for Water Turtles – swim lessons for kindergarteners

• $750 to the Perquimans County Schools Education Foundation for water turtles
• $750 to the River City Community Development Corporation for family home
